LYNNE HAMILTON
I’ve always been animal mad and even as a child would walk all of the local dogs. My parents insisted it was a phase, but I think at 61 years old I have proved it’s a lifelong passion!
Dogs have always been part of my adult life and I have had seven German Shepherds over the years and currently share my home two border terriers, Olive and Matilda, and a rescue tripod, Lola.
Having decided that commuting to London as a PA was not for me, I spent 15 wonderful years managing a large livery yard with 52 horses. I certainly learnt a lot about horses and their owners during that time!
In 2009, I pursued my lifelong dream of working with dogs and trained at Greyfriars in Surrey achieving a Level 3 ABC Nationally Accredited award in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals. I went on to open my own Hydrotherapy centre in Buckinghamshire, which I ran very successfully for nearly 10 years. It was such a privilege to help so many dogs (and cats and a rabbit!) over those the years and cemented my desire to carry on working within the animal therapy industry.
In 2019, I sold my Hydrotherapy and moved to Kent. I became a five-star licensed home border for dogs, but my passion remained with animal therapy, which is why my daughter Amy and I have invested in a Class 4 K-Laser. As market leaders, the K-Laser has an unrivalled reputation for excellence and we are both proud to be fully trained and Certified Operators.
AMY HAMILTON
Unlike my Mum (or shall I say because of my Mum), I have always been bought up with animals. There are plenty of pictures of me as a small child surrounded by German Shepherds and I believe I was just two years old when I got plonked on a horse for the very first time.
From my first Shetland pony, learning how to sit tight and bounce well, to successfully competing my 16.2hh Warmblood dressage horse up and down the country.
I was 12 years old when my Mum opened her Canine Hydrotherapy which was based at home, so I was surrounded by everything “hydro” for a very large portion of my life, and I think this is where my passion for helping animals really came from. I was able to see the difference that was made to each and every one of her clients and the benefits of complimentary therapies.
I did well at school, got good GSCE's and A-Levels, but lacked direction as to where I wanted to go afterwards - University wasn't for me, so I opened my own coffee shop and built it up for 18 months before training to become a Hydrotherapist at Hawksmoor, achieving a Level 3 ABC Nationally Accredited award in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals and worked alongside my Mum.
Having animals (especially horses!), you get to see your fair share of ailments and I have been a big advocate for complimentary therapies over the years as I have seen how valuable they have been to my own animals. Thus, the idea of investing in a laser therapy business, was born!
